Strategic Company Advice Report

This strategic report focused on the company BeamBold, a vacation-wear company based in Hong-Kong that creates vibrant dresses skirts and tops in both custom and an extensive range of multi-variable sizing options.

The main challenge the company was facing was a lack of new customer acquisition, as well as a very seasonal cycle to their sales patterns, making the companies cash flow slow during the winter.

Using various analytical tools and frameworks such as the McKinsey 7s, SWOT and TOWS analyses, the companies operations were analysed and opportunities and limitations identified.

Two major factors that were identified the companies reliance on limited and seasonal contact points with its consumers through third-party pop up events and markets, as well as rising digital opportunities to create more brand awareness and contact points with consumers in its target audience.

The strategic advice given was to create a more fully fledged online presence for the company through the use of social media platforms its consumers use, as well as having a social media strategy. With further recommendations being to create a permanent physical contact point for consumers in the form of a showroom to allow the companies strengths of customisation and personal sizing to be experienced outside of third party events.

An executive summary of the report can be found on page 2.
